Ruskin has announced a new frame option for the CDTI-50
thermally isolated, low temperature control damper. This option is a "Broke
Frame", and is called the CDTI-50BF. This new damper has been designed by
Ruskin at the request of our local engineers and contractors.
The CDTI-50BF frame is isolated in two different places,
reducing energy transfer through the damper frame. The industry leading
CDTI-50 blades combine with the new Broke Frame option to provide the best
thermal protection on the market. Thermal breaks with high density epoxy
fill are utilized at 2 locations so the CDTI-50BF can be installed in both
directions with thermal protection in both air flow directions. Same great
CDTI-50 thermal properties as before except now available with double
thermal broke frame.
Not only does the blade not transmit any thermal energy from
one side to the other, but the frame will now give the same great
protection. Remember, the CDTI-50 blades do not have any part of the blade
skin transferring thermal energy from one side of the damper to the other.
Only Ruskin truly thermally isolates the entire damper so no energy is
transmitted through the damper.
